Well this post office position hasn't turned out to be the geared-down, more-relaxed job I was hoping for.  Starting when the regular carriers took their summer vacations, I was running myself ragged literally.  Sure they said you would be walking 10-12 miles a day, but they didn't mention the pace.  You have to pretty much power stride or even jog from house to house to make sure you get your route done on time.  Combine that with the summer heat and by the end of the day I feel like a dried out frog.  But you know what?  For the first time in years, I don't stay up all night dreading going to work the next day.  Sure I'm paid substantially less and I had to move to a place with a higher cost of living, but when I punch out at the end of the day, I am done.  No need to take classes to qualify for the next position, no wondering how I'm going to accomplish my objective with no additional resources, no working for psychos who use my effort and creativity as springboards for their promotion while rewarding me with zilch.  And once I make regular mail carrier, the pay and benefits will be a lot better.

I'm sure you noticed I posted a new chapter of Night Singer. A good measure of a successful AU is if you took the names away, would you still recognize the character?  I think I failed that test.  On the other hand, I'm too far along to quit now.  One more chapter and I should be done.

I can't believe I haven't worked on Nemu's Trials in over two years.  It doesn't seem that long.  In that time, I failed to get promoted, got released, roamed the states looking for work and had to move to an entirely new state.  But that's not the hard part.  The hard part was LEARNING ICHIGO WAS THE FIRST QUINCY/SHINIGAMI HYBRID!!!  Yes, I've ranted about this before and I'm sorry.  Another problem is the introduction of Ywhach and the Wandenreich.  I was prepared to accept the Quincy as honorable warriors launching a counter strike in a war that was long over, seeking for revenge for a long forgotten massacre.  Kubo portraying them as unsympathetic nazis leaves a bad taste in my mouth.  And how am I supposed to integrate this new information?

I've gone back and forth over this with my Beta reader and we can't come to any better agreement than to ignore current developments.  Now that I'm stable for the next year or so, maybe I will be able to make some progress.  My apologies for the long delay and my thanks for your patience.

Middle aged office worker who writes as a hobby. I love Bleach and other animes, I love to read and I like to travel when I have the chance, but I am very shy around people and try to fade into the background whenever possible.

Why are you called pehpig? - In 1996, I worked with a UNIX based database called PC-III (personal concept III) Every six months, you were required to change your password. If you couldn't think of a good password, it could suggest one for you. The suggestions the program would kick out were so whimsical and funny, I began to write them down. Pehpig was my favorite.
